Start your meeting with a simple question as icebreaker. It will create a positive atmosphere, setting the tone for the meeting
Don’t arbitrarily stop discussions that you feel don’t help the meeting progress. Instead, set and communicate time boxes for the discussion and move on with the meeting afterwards.
Send the meeting summary a little while after the meeting has ended. That way the summary will be first reminder for attendees.
Make time to prepare each meeting. A 15 minute preparation for a 45 minute meeting is better than 0 minute preparation for a 60 minute meeting.
At the end of a meeting, ask your attendees about how it went. Use this feedback to improve your preparation and facilitation skills.
